ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Tipping waste on our inert landfill site• All businesses bringing waste to the site must be registered with the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier, for further details please contact 03708 506 506 (Environment agency general enquiry line)  or visit the Environment website.

• All vehicles entering the site with inert waste MUST stop on the weighbridge for inspection of the material via our CCTV system, this enables us to confirm acceptance of the material and the location it is to be tipped on site.

• Waste transfer notes are to be completed for all waste accepted on site, information required includes: description of the waste, weight/volume, producer of the waste, collection address, vehicle registration, waste carriers names and registration number, SIC Code (+additional information about our site which we will complete)

• Also on the waste transfer note is a declaration to show the Waste Hierarchy (as per The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011) has been considered (The five stages are: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery, Landfill)

• As an inert landfill we are unable to accept green waste (e.g. trees, grass, brambles etc). As part of site clearance we would expect material of this nature to be removed/scraped back before the inert waste is loaded. We do except that it is impossible to remove every single trace of this type of material so we accept there is a small degree of tolerance, this will be confirmed on inspection of the load.

• We are unable to accept Tarmac produced using coal tar. This material was historically used to make tarmac and was replaced with bitumen. It is increasingly uncommon and has been replaced in many areas but is still found in older roads / hard standing areas. Material containing coal tar must be taken to a specialist site.

• We ask that all bituminous mixtures (EWC 17 03 02) (e.g. asphalt from roads/pathways etc) is kept separate/separated from all other waste. Bituminous mixtures are accepted at our recycling facility BUT NOT in the landfill.

• We are unable to accept plasterboard (Gypsum)
