Brauncewell Quarries welcomes the collection of material from our site by both trade customers and the general public. You are not required to be an account holder and goods can be paid for by cash or credit card.
Due to the size of our loading vehicles the smallest amount we are able to load in a single visit is 1 tonne.
For Health and Safety reasons we do not permit the manual loading of vehicles on our site.
When collecting material we ask that the following are checked before arriving on site:
- If you are towing a trailer the vehicle is suitable for the task and the trailer itself it is good working order (including checking the tyres are correctly inflated)
- Have knowledge of the legal carrying capacity of the vehicle / vehicle + trailer. For safety reasons we will not allow overloaded vehicles to leave the site.
- You are competent to drive and manourve a vehicle with trailer. Individuals who passed their car test (Category B) after the 1st Janaury 1997 are required by law to pass a trailer test (Category B+E) to tow a trailer with a with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) of over 750kg.
